They say Knowledge is Power. Is it true?

I still remember this line "knowledge is power" was scribed on the walls of one of the classroom in my school. I was really moved by this line and started filling in my brain as much as possible. I still do it. Thanks to the Internet, it is not very difficult to improve one's knowledge about anything and everything. I believed that as I have the knowledge, I have the power.
